Access Codes and Classroom Codes unlock GMetrix content in the Student Portal. This article explains how to create and manage Access Codes in the Administrator Portal. Classroom Codes are generated automatically when you create a new Classroom.
Navigate to the Access Codes View
- Sign in to the Administrator Portal at manage.gmetrix.net.
- From the sidebar, select Access Codes.
Create an Access Code
- Select New Access Code.
- Choose the content you want to add from the list.
- Use the filters or search bar to find content.
- Expand categories to select individual items.
- Select Next.
- Enter the Access Code’s details:
- Name: Enter a name for the Access Code.
- Identifier (optional): Customize the beginning of the Access Code.
- Available Uses: Limit the number of times the Access Code can be redeemed.
- Associate on First Use: Enable to associate on the first use.
- Access Code Type: Choose how the code will be redeemed:
- Multi-User: A single code that can be redeemed multiple times.
- Single-User: Multiple codes that can each be redeemed once.
- Select Create to save the new Access Code.
How Users Redeem an Access Code
- Sign in to the Student Portal at https://gmetrix.net.
- From the sidebar, select Redeem Code.
- Enter the Access Code and select Redeem.
- The assigned Program appears in the student’s Home view.
Manage Existing Access Codes
Once codes are generated, you can:
- View the full list in the Access Codes view.
- Track how many have been redeemed.
- Copy or export codes.
- View usage and progress tied to each code.
- Manage products and content assigned to a code.
Convert an Access Code to a Classroom
It is possible to convert existing Access Codes to Classroom Codes: Access Codes → Convert to Classroom.
