The GMetrix SMS can be changed to allow an Administrator tab in the Options menu. The Administrator tab allows you to turn off the other settings tabs to prevent users from making changes. To enable this, follow the steps or watch the video below:
To enable the Administrator tab:
- Right Click on the GMetrix Desktop Icon and select Properties.
If you need to add an icon to the desktop, navigate to the install location of GMetrix SMS and right click the .exe, then select create shortcut and move the shortcut to the desktop.
- In the section named Target: add a space and -admin to the end of the line. It should read something like this: "C:\Program Files (x86)\Username\GMetrix SMSe\GMetrix SMSe.exe" -admin"
There is a space between .exe" and -admin.
Click Apply (you will need admin computer privileges to make this change).
- When you launch GMetrix and open the Options menu there will be an Administrator button.
Once you have used the Administrator tab you will want to remove it from the Properties Target again to prevent anyone from using it to turn the settings back on.
