The sidebar menu, or sidebar, on the left side of the screen provides easy access to different Portal views and features.


While many areas can be accessed from the sidebar, Programs and learning content can only be accessed from the Home view.


Sidebar Overview

Let's break down the options found in the sidebar menu

  1. Active User: The name of the active user is displayed in the upper portion of the sidebar.
  2. Notifications: Select the bell icon next to your name to view your notifications.
  3. Home: Return to the Home view.
  4. Transcript: View scores and progress related to your Programs.
  5. Redeem Code: Unlock content using an access code.
  6. Profile: Manage your personal information and account settings.
  7. Help: Find answers using the GMetrix Support Knowledge Base (KB).
  8. Sign Out: Safely sign out of your account.
  9. Language: Change the Student Portal language. This selection only applies to certain elements of the Portal.
  10. Download SMS: Click to download the Skills Management Software (SMS) for Mac or Windows.


On devices with small screens, such as phones and tablets, the sidebar is substituted with a tab bar at the bottom of the screen.
