With LTI Advantage (LTI 1.3), you can connect GMetrix to Schoology by creating a custom LTI 1.3 app.
Once connected, you can add GMetrix Courses and Practice Exams to Schoology courses. You'll be able to see scores and progress, and learners will be able to access assigned Courses and Practice Exams directly within Schoology.
Configure LTI 1.3 for Schoology
If you are using a district, multi-school, or complex Schoology implementation, contact GMetrix Support before proceeding.Before you begin • Make sure your organization uses Schoology Learning Enterprise. • Make sure you have access to the GMetrix Administrator Portal. • Make sure you have administrator access and permission to develop apps in Schoology. • Plan to submit the Schoology Client ID and Deployment ID to GMetrix before the connection is complete.
Part 1. Establish the Connection
Sign in to Both Platforms
In a web browser, open two new windows or tabs:
In the first, sign in to the GMetrix Administrator Portal.
In the second, sign in to your Schoology account.
In GMetrix
From the sidebar, select Integrations.
In the LTI 1.3 (Advantage) section, locate the setup values required for Schoology.
Keep the GMetrix setup values open while you configure the Schoology app.
In Schoology
Create the GMetrix App
From the Apps menu, select App Center.
Select My Developer Apps.
Select Add App.
Complete the required app details for your organization.
From the Type of App menu, select LTI 1.3 App.
Enter the GMetrix Setup Values
Copy each GMetrix value into the matching Schoology field:

Finish Creating the App
Select the Terms of Use checkbox.
Select Submit.
Copy the Client ID
Locate the saved GMetrix app in My Developer Apps.
From the Options menu, select API Info.
Copy the Client ID.
Install the App
Return to My Developer Apps.
Select Install LTI 1.3 App for GMetrix.
Select I Agree.
Select Add to Organization.
Select Install/Remove.
Select the intended users, roles, courses, or organization scope.
Select Submit.
Copy the Deployment ID
From the Apps menu, open Organization Apps.
Locate GMetrix.
Select Configure.
Copy the Deployment ID.
Submit the IDs to GMetrix
Contact GMetrix Support and provide Schoology as the LMS, the applicable Testing Center or organization, the Schoology Client ID, and the Schoology Deployment ID.
Part 2. Confirm the App is Installed
In Schoology
Confirm that GMetrix appears in Organization Apps.
Confirm that the app is available to the intended Schoology users, roles, courses, or organization scope.
Confirm that the Schoology Client ID and Deployment ID were submitted for the correct Testing Center or organization.
After Setup
Single Sign-On (SSO): After the connection is established, users can launch GMetrix from Schoology without needing to sign in to both platforms.
Grade Passback: Supported Practice Exam scores can be returned to Schoology based on the assignment settings.
Deep Linking: Instructors can select and add supported GMetrix content directly from within Schoology.
Your Schoology administrator controls app availability and course-material settings based on your organization's intended use.
