With LTI Advantage (LTI 1.3), you can connect GMetrix to Schoology by creating a custom LTI 1.3 app.


Once connected, you can add GMetrix Courses and Practice Exams to Schoology courses. You'll be able to see scores and progress, and learners will be able to access assigned Courses and Practice Exams directly within Schoology.

Configure LTI 1.3 for Schoology

If you are using a district, multi-school, or complex Schoology implementation, contact GMetrix Support before proceeding.


Before you begin
• Make sure your organization uses Schoology Learning Enterprise.
• Make sure you have administrator access and permission to add apps in Schoology.
• Plan to submit the Schoology Client ID and Deployment ID to GMetrix before the connection is complete.


In Schoology

  1. Select App Center from the Apps menu Icon with small tiles or apps representing the Schoology Apps menu. in the top-right.
  2. Find GMetrix LTI Advantage in the apps list and select Install LTI 1.3 App.
  3. Select I Agree to accept the terms.
  4. Select Add to Organization.


Note: The Schoology App Center does not offer any search capabilities. There are a few options to expedite your search:Filters: You can narrow the list of apps by setting the Type filter to LTI App.Find: If supported, use your browser's Find function to search for the app's name:
    • macOS: Command (⌘) + F
    • Windows: Control (Ctrl) + F


  1. Contact GMetrix Support and provide "Schoology" as the LMS and the applicable Testing Center or organization.

  2. Provide the Deployment ID found in Schoology:

    • To find the Deployment ID:

      • Go to Apps → App Center Icon with small tiles or apps representing the Schoology Apps menu. → Organization Apps.

      • Locate the GMetrix LTI Advantage app in the list of installed apps.

      • Select Configure next to the app.

      • Locate the Deployment ID.

  1. Go to Apps -> App Center → Organization Apps.

  2. Find GMetrix in the apps list and select Install/Remove.

  3. Select the intended Courses and Groups, then select Submit.

  1. Select a Schoology Course or Group.

  2. Select Add Materials and choose GMetrix LTI Advantage.

  3. If you see a provisioning error, return to Part 2 of this guide.


  • Single Sign-On (SSO): After the connection is established, users can launch GMetrix from Schoology without needing to sign in to both platforms.

  • Grade Passback: Supported Practice Exam scores can be returned to Schoology based on the assignment settings.

  • Deep Linking: Instructors can select and add supported GMetrix content directly from within Schoology.

  • Your Schoology administrator controls app availability and course-material settings based on your organization's intended use.
