You can integrate GMetrix with a supported LMS, such as Canvas or Blackboard) using Learning Tools Interoperability (LTI).

LTI Advantage (LTI 1.3) is the recommended way to connect GMetrix to an LMS. It uses modern security standards and separates the connection from optional services that can be enabled after setup.

Once configured, GMetrix content and test scores can automatically sync between both platforms. Users with a Student Account can access content and view their scores directly within the LMS.

GMetrix has been tested with most LMS platforms, including:

  • Blackboard
  • Canvas
  • D2L Brightspace
  • Moodle
  • Schoology

GMetrix offers limited support for the platforms above. You will also need access and permissions within your LMS.

If your LMS provider is not listed, but supports LTI, you can try to register it using the information provided in the Administrator Portal. Check with your LMS provider for further details.

We strongly recommend using LTI Advantage (LTI 1.3) when available. LTI 1.1 is an older standard with known security limitations. It remains available for LMS environments that cannot use the GMetrix LTI 1.3 integration.

Check which standard you're using
Your Blackboard instance supports LTI 1.3 if you see "LTI Advantage" or are asked for any of the following:

• Client ID
• Registration URL
• OIDC URL

Even if your version of Blackboard supports both versions of LTI, we recommend LTI Advantage (LTI 1.3). It's easier to manage and more secure.
